Dear Sheffield Families and Community,
Thank you for 41 wonderful years of working together to care for the young children of the East Bay. I have loved being the creator and director of Sheffield Preschool while also being on the daily teaching staff. Our program only served 12 children a day but we did a lot! We went on monthly field trips, had a rich curriculum, sang and danced every day, learned how to get along with each other, had many adventures, and most of all, used Sheffield Preschool as a stepping stone to launch from the intimacy of home and family to the challenges of elementary school. It wasn’t easy to decide to retire and close my program but no one can work forever. I’ll always treasure the time I got to spend with children, parents, and teachers at Sheffield Preschool.
